Congratulations
Oliver N. Peer
55 Years

Oliver began his love of Ruritan with the Hamburg Ruritan Club which chartered in June 1956.  In that same year Fort Valley and Western Shenandoah Ruritan Clubs were formed and organized by Hamburg Club.

He served the Ruritan in the following positions -  beginning

  • 1959 - 1960 – Vice President & President
  • 1962 - 1963 – Assistant. Zone Governor & Zone Governor
  • 1964 – District Governor
  • 1970, 1971, 1972 – joined the National Board of Directors
  • 1974, 1975, 1976 – three year term on the National Budget / Finance Committee

Because of other obligations and time conflict, Oliver joined the St. Luke/Fairview Ruritan in 1982.  He has continued to be a faithful member.

Oliver deserves recognition for 55 years to Ruritan for his dedication,  and devotion while serving the community and surrounding areas of the Shenandoah Valley..
