About the Club

The Rockingham and Districts Garden Club (Inc) is a community organization which aims to promote gardening in the Rockingham area in Western Australia.  We have regular meetings, group outings and functions.   There are approximately 90 members from around the Rockingham area.
The club meets on the second Thursday of every month (except May, December and January) at the Hillman Hall, Unnaro Street, Hillman at 1.00 pm.   We start with a short meeting, followed by afternoon tea and (usually) a guest speaker.  Admission is $5.00 (for afternoon tea and a raffle).
In addition to our normal meetings we usually arrange another event during each month, including:bus trips to special gardens, nurseries or plant and garden shows.
  • visits to member's gardens (or other gardens in the area)
  • exchange visits with other garden clubs.
  • social events.

Our forthcoming events are published in Chit Chat, on the Coming Events Page and in our Calendar.

Annual Plant Sale

In late October every year, the Club conducts a plant sale, selling plants mostly grown and donated by members.  It raises funds for the Club's other activities and provides a source of inexpensive plants for new and not-so-new gardeners in the area.
