Welcome to the Rochester Chapter NSDAR

The Rochester Chapter NSDAR was chartered in 1903.

We currently have 85 members.

Members live as far away as California, Florida, Illinois, Michigan, Nebraska, Tennessee, Texas, and Washington, but the majority of our members

live within an hour of Rochester, Minnesota.

The National Society Daughters of the American Revolution (NSDAR or DAR) have dedicated themselves to

promote historic preservation, education and patriotism.

The Rochester Chapter NSDAR has undertaken numerous activities and programs over the past years to promote the DAR mission.

Historic Preservation

Help maintain the William Dee Log Cabin

Volunteers assist the History Center of Olmsted County with special preservation projects

Sponsor the American History Essay contests

Sponsor the DAR Good Citizens Essay contests

Sponsor the Pipestone Society of the Children of the American Revolution

Support Community Classroom

Many opportunities in Literacy promotion

Support the DAR schools

Patriotism

Participate in naturalization ceremonies held in Rochester, Minnesota

Support Ironwood Springs Christian Ranch - Operation Welcome Home for military personnel returning home from deployment

Support military veterans and the active military

U.S. flag donation to area school

Promote Constitution Week to the local schools and throughout the community
