Anyone interested in patchwork and quilting is welcome to join us for a day of inspiration, friendship, learning and laughter. No membership required.
A typical meeting includes a programme of sit and sew, demonstrations, sales tables or a trader, an afternoon speaker, show and tell and a raffle. Doors open at 9:45 am and the day usually finishes around 3:00 pm. The cost for the day or part day is £5 and that includes unlimited tea and coffee. 
Homemade cakes available at 50p per slice.

Volunteers are always needed for the sales table, refreshments bar and sometimes other duties.  As a thank you, helpers get free admission!  If you would be willing to help, please contact Lynda as above. 
Demonstration Tables 

We are always looking for volunteers to share some of their talent with the group. Perhaps you know a new technique or small project idea that would be ideal. We are particularly looking for people to demo basic techniques that would be perfect for the beginner.  You will have free entry for the day and also £5 as a thank you for your time. If you can help, please contact Lynda as above. 

Sales table
The sales table is very popular, and is an opportunity to bag a bargain or have a clear out.  We will be having 2 sales tables each year.  Please price each item in 50p increments as this will make the mental maths easier.  Each item needs to have the price and your initials on a pinned or paper-clipped piece of paper on the front of the item so the label can be removed when the item is sold.  Volunteers are always needed on sales table days to man the tables. Don't forget to collect your cash and any unsold items before you leave. Rocheberie Quilters will retain 10% of the cost of each item sold to boost our funds.  On table top sale days, members can hire a table for £5 and sell their own items.  If you have a lot of items, you may need to book two tables, as items on the floor can constitute trip hazards. Book in with Lynda before the day please.  

Recycling Quilting Magazines
You can donate your unwanted quilting magazines to the group without having to collect them at the end of the day. We have a "magazine box" which members can flip through. Magazines will be sold with donations for our charity being collected in an honesty box. Unsold magazines will be kept and brought to the next meeting by a committee member.

Everyone looks forward to the delicious home-made cakes at Rocheberie meetings.  If you are able to bring a your speciality cake, as a thank you, we will give you £2 towards the cost of your ingredients. 

                                                                                                               Bring Your Own Mug
If you don't want to add to this country's mountain of plastic waste please bring your own mug along to meetings - we will be happy to fill your it with tea and coffee (full fat or decaf) for free during the day.  If you have any special dietary requirements, please bring your own supplies.

The committee have decided that each year, Rocheberie will support a particular charity and donate the proceeds of the raffle and magazine sales to that cause.  This year we have two charities, Rugby Dementia Support and Coventry and Warwickshire MIND.
                                                   Show and Tell
Don't forget to bring your items for Show and Tell and attach your name with a safety pin before handing it in. 
Please note that if your show and tell is delicate or precious, please keep hold of it so that you can hold it up yourself during Show and Tell.       
                                                                                                                                Young people
We are keen to encourage young quilters and welcome interested secondary age youngsters with an adult.  Unfortunately we cannot accommodate small children - delightful as they are!

We are pleased to offer Hobbs 80/20 wadding for sale at £7.00 per yard.  You can reserve some by emailing Lynda or ringing Liz on 01788 576189.  Collect and pay for it at the next meeting.                                        

A newsletter is sent out by email before each meeting, with details of the day.  If you haven't had yours, sign in with the box above.  (NB.  The newsletters aren’t weekly, but bi-monthly!) Unfortunately some computers are sending this to their spam boxes, so check yours about a week before the meeting just in case it’s there!
