The slideshow above is a compilation of various scultpures, pots, plates and mugs.  My glazing technique is a glaze on glaze process called Maiolica.  Also known as ‘majolica’: it’s a soft opaque coloured glaze, with a firing temperature approx, 900 c - 1050 c (up to 2000 f). Originally named from the island of Majorca where it was first made in the 16th Century.

First I apply an opaque white base glaze.  This provides me with a ‘canvas’ upon which --after drying -- I spray, brush and paint colored patterns and designs.
