About the Artist

I am a graduate of Maine College of Art, in Portland, instructed by such inspirational potters as:  Mark Johnson, Lucy Breslin, and Marion Baker.

I attended SACI (Studio Art Center International) in Florence, Italy and studied art history, ceramics and the Italian language. I supported myself by working as a ceramic studio assistant and as a teacher of ceramics for children.  While in Italy I reconnected with my high school mentors and accomplished artists Fosco Picchi and Marjorie Warner-Picchi.

My time in Italy had a profound effect on my career as a young artist as well as it did for my personal journey. After two years in the heart of Florence, I returned to Portland to finish my BFA in Ceramics.
My pieces are all functional, lead free, and dishwasher-safe.  Creating inviting dinner ware fit for the company of good food, family and friends is something I truly enjoy!
I presently teach 8 week long pottery classes in my bright and welcoming studio space --
