Please join us to celebrate the opening of the new Robotics Realization Lab (RRL) at the University of Maryland in College Park on Friday September 25, 2015 from 10am-1pm. The event will take place in the new RRL lab space in the Engineering Annex Building. A map can be found here: http://ter.ps/rrlmap.

The RRL houses the most advanced human-safe robots for manufacturing and medical applications as well as mechanical and electrical rapid prototyping equipment to support the development of robot hardware that is not commercially available. The equipment in the RRL will support research in
* advanced manufacturing
robotics in healthcare
* robot sensors, actuators, and mechanisms
* human-robot collaboration
* robot locomotion
* numerous other robotics research activities.

There is a simple agenda consisting of brief speeches and introductions at 10am, followed by demonstrations on some of the equipment including Baxter, the Kuka lightweight arms, and the motion capture system. Please note that this is not intended as a K-12 event.

We hope to see you there!
