About Robin

I'm a writer, speaker and workshop leader with a broad range of
experience in media, having worked in film & television, publishing, and online. I've been a consultant, an interim manager and a small business owner. Now I'm Managing Director at Room for Work, a charity that delivers employability courses for mature job seekers.

I created Room for Work after Bloomsbury published my book, Finding Work After 40, which is packed with information distilled from a network of job clubs for the over-45s. The Room for Work programme is designed for skilled workers, managers and professionals. Our presenters are experts in their field. We deliver workshops that help people practice the skills they need to get re-employed, either by finding a job or starting a business. Our success rate is impressive.

I am a member of TAEN --The Age and Employment Network, and The Society of Authors.
My home is in southwest London.

FINDING WORK AFTER 40: Proven Strategies for Managers and Professionals is published by Bloomsbury under the A&C Black imprint. Readers will find a wealth of advice on every aspect of job search and self-employment.

FINDING WORK AFTER 40 was co-written with careers coach Liam Mifsud. The book details successful techniques developed by a network of five executive job clubs for over-45s.
