Suppressor on .308

"If you have the means, I highly recommend you pick one up." -Ferris Bueller

I saved, and I saved, and I finally plunked down the dough for a Gemtech HVT suppressor for my Remington 700 LTR in .308 (7.62x51). It's great. What I couldn't find out from others on the 'Net, and what I can't really convey to you, is just what it sounds like in person.

First of all, the shot is not silent. There's no "sneaking up and causing grave damage" and no one knows what's going on. Bullets have a shock wave that travels with them and creates a sonic boom as it passes by. The effect is an odd, science fiction sort of sound. The video doesn't do justice to you. It sounds quieter on the video.
