Daniel Webster (1782-1852) was a lawyer, orator, Senator from Massachusetts, statesmen, and advocate for American nationalism. Ball Hughes burnt many pokerisms of this popular public figure. Compare to The Hon. Daniel Webster (1857), The Hon. Daniel Webster (1857), and to Portrait of Daniel Webster (1858) sold by Neal Auction Co. in 2009.
