Q: WHEN IS A PARENT/GUARDIAN'S FIRST OPPORTUNITY TO TOUR THE SCHOOL AND MEET FACULTY AND STAFF?

A: The first opportunity for parents/guardians to meet Mitchell faculty and staff will be at our annual Kindergarten Orientation (Check the Events page for further details). The evening’s agenda will include words of welcome from both Mrs. Letendre and GMSPA and representatives from School Health, Special Education and B.A.S.E. will be there to provide very helpful information. Ample time will be allowed for questions. Please mark your calendars. It’s VERY important to note that this event is strictly for parents and guardians.

Q: WHEN IS MY STUDENTS FIRST OPPORTUNITY TO TOUR THE SCHOOL?

A: We welcome you and your child to come for the School Stroll (Check the Events page for more details). If you are available to attend, please expect to spend 20-30 minutes visiting. The goal will be to show your student what a typical classroom looks like, see the decorated hallways, and peek into the office or even a bathroom to begin painting a picture in their minds for September. The tour will also show students the Cafeteria and the Library. Just walking through the halls prior to opening day in September does help many students with the transition.
