Translating the greatest writers of the 20th century

In "The Tender Hour of Twilight," published posthumously, Richard Seaver recounts his experiences as translator and editor of some of the greatest writers of the 20th century. While living as an expatriate in Paris, he worked at the English-language literary magazine Merlin and the editor-in-chief of Grove Press, which published Samuel Beckett, Jean Genet, William Burroughs, Eugene Ionesco, Harold Pinter and Tom Stoppard.
