Worship (Psalm 33)

Invent your own new song to Him....

Worship (Psalm 33)

Worship:

A Word for you......and you and you....

The following Psalm encouraged me one morning regarding (2006) worship. Reading it in The Message has extra significance. I thought I'd pass it along.

Psalms 33: 1 – 22 (The Message)
Good people, cheer God! Right-living people sound best when praising. Use guitars to reinforce your Hallelujahs! Play his praise on a grand piano! Invent your own new song to him; give him a trumpet fanfare. For God's Word is solid to the core; everything he makes is sound inside and out. He loves it when everything fits, when his world is in plumb-line true. Earth is drenched in God's affectionate satisfaction. The skies were made by God's command; he breathed the word and the stars popped out. He scooped Sea into his jug, put Ocean in his keg. Earth-creatures, bow before God; world-dwellers - down on your knees! Here's why: he spoke and there it was, in place the moment he said so. 10God takes the wind out of Babel pretense, he shoots down the world's power-schemes. 11God's plan for the world stands up, all his designs are made to last.

12 Blessed is the country with God for God; blessed are the people he's put in his will. 13From high in the skies God looks around, he sees all Adam's brood. 14 From where he sits he overlooks all us earth-dwellers. 15 He has shaped each person in turn; now he watches everything we do. 16 No king succeeds with a big army alone, no warrior wins by brute strength. 17 Horsepower is not the answer; no one gets by on muscle alone. 18 Watch this: God's eye is on those who respect him, the ones who are looking for his love. 19 He's ready to come to their rescue in bad times; in lean times he keeps body and soul together. 20 We're depending on God; he's everything we need. 21 What's more, our hearts brim with joy since we've taken for our own his holy name. 22 Love us, God, with all you've got - that's what we're depending on.

Right living people sound best when praising. So praise and worship Him who has righted your reason to worship. Use something to reinforce your Hallelujahs!  - (Hallelujah - a shout or praise to God). Invent your own new song to Him,

Give Him a trumpet fanfare.

God said it was good when he formed you in your mothers womb. You are the joy of His salvation plan. You are drenched in God's affectionate satisfaction. God scoops you up in to every party he has. He's having a party right now, Today and forever and always.

If the earths creatures can shake a leg in worship to God, then down on your knees too!

Regardless of how elaborate and systematic someone's scheme is to control your life, God shoots them all down, every time.

Watch this: God's eye is on those who respect him, the ones who are looking for his love. His love in, over and through you, of course He's your papa, loving Father. What can you not see in His eyes. Right there on his lap. His love right around the corner, around the bend in the road, through the next door. Where is your  expectation - perfect love casts out all fear.

Have you taken for yourself His Holy name: because He is loving you with all He's got and you can count on that. You are not know by the old name any longer -- Jacob is now Isreal. Hated is now secure. Dry is now overflowing. Wronged is now seal and drenched with His affections. Hopeless is now enduring one with an ever lasting promise.
