Tanya Farnung

 
Bio: I graduated from SUNY Geneseo in 2008 with a B.A. in Spanish, a B.A. in French and a New York State Adolescent Education Certificate: Spanish 7-12.  From there, I moved to Philadelphia where I served as a teaching assistant and completed my Masters degree in Spanish Language and Literatures at Temple University.  After two and a half years in Philly, I returned to Upstate New York in the Fall of 2011 to begin my Ph.D. in Spanish at UB.
 
Research Interests: Contemporary Peninsular and Latin American Literature, Theater, García Lorca, Gender Studies, Queer Theory
