Storytelling Bonfires
A summertime tradition in Grand Rapids, Michigan since 1999

Stories around a crackling fire under summer evening skies...

The July bonfire features our annual

Ogden Nash was an American poet who was famous for his short, whimsical poems like...

“Candy is dandy, but liquor is quicker.”

“The cow is of the bovine ilk;
One end is moo, the other, milk.”

Memorize a few, and you can contribute to our rapid-fire round robin to see how many Ogden Nash poems we can do in a row.

Our all-time record was ... 33!
