Welcome to Stamford RiverCare

The Stamford RiverCare Group was set up in 2004 to care for the Stamford stretch of the Welland River.

The Group aims to:

  • Raise the profile of the River Welland with respect to its natural value, cultural heritage and as a public amenity.
  • Encourage members of the public to appreciate the River Welland and surrounding floodplain in Stamford.
  • Support the maintenance and scientific study of the river and Meadows wherever possible.
  • Promote and practice sustainability at all times.

The Group is made up of local volunteers and would welcome new recruits and interest from other groups.

You can contact the Group by e-mail: info@stamfordrivercare.org
