A Master’s and Doctorate degree in Library and Information Science from Jiwaji University, Gwalior (M.P.). Dr. Rishi K. Tiwari has vast experience of more than 15 years in handling and managing of library services.
Dr. Rishi Tiwari joined Malaviya National Institute of Technology Jaipur as a librarian in the year 2021.
Dr. Tiwari is a well-known name in the Library Science professional circle has organized various conferences and workshops. Besides organizing he has also attended many National and International conferences and workshops. He has published various papers and has a book to his credit as an editor. He is also guiding and supervising scholars of Library and Information Science in their research work. Has visited Sri Lanka, Bhutan, Nepal and Muscat as a SAARC member.
His areas of interest are Leadership, Team Building, Library Automation and Digitization. He is also very actively involved in the promotion of Open Source Software’s of Library Automation and Digitization.
Dr. Tiwari is an active member of various organizations such as Indian Library Association (ILA), Management Library Network, Royal Institute of Management (RIM), Bhutan, etc. He is office bearer of ILA with the capacity of Member of Executive Council and Treasurer for the period of 2013 to 2015. He is also member of around 25 organizing committee for National and International Conferences.
Dr. Rishi Tiwari has also been awarded the ILA S.M. Ganguly Best School Library Award for 2003, ILA Promoter Award for 2008, SATKAL Young Librarian Award 2013, Commonwealth Fellowship 2014 and AIMS International Outstanding Management Library Award 2014.
He is also acting as the Secretary of Ranganathan Society for Social Welfare and Library Development. Under the umbrella of this organization he is very actively involved in the all round development of the people of rural areas. Under this mission various rural and other community libraries and computer center have been opened. Among the most popular of them all “BIMTECH Pustakalaya” in Dasna Jail, Ghaziabad, Lucknow Jail, Lucknow and District jail, Gautam Budha Nagar of Uttar Pradesh.
