Facilitation Course

RISE proposed a facilitation course be created to afford doctoral students opportunities to develop the requisite skills to facilitate critical discussions about race and racism; a skill set we believe will prove invaluable in our careers as academics and public intellectuals. We believe efforts to address racism are part and parcel of our responsibilities as future professors and researchers.  Facilitation skills are important tools that will allow us to capitalize on opportunities to not only expose, but confront the realities of racism.

We are currently engaged in discussions with the administration to develop our own course.
