Critical Race Theory (CRT) Course

RISE proposed a CRT in Education course be established in order to enhance students’ understandings of the grounding and application of critical race studies in scholarly work. To date, the School of Education has worked with the Ethnic Studies department to implement a new course entitled “Deconstructing Race,” which explores fixed notions of race and identity and examines the ways race has been used to perpetuate social inequalities.
