Our June 2015 issue of the RACA Report is available now.
The time has come for the nomination of officers for the 2015-2016 year. We want to make sure that we include all members in this process though so we will be taking nominations for officers through email until Monday, May 25 at 5:30 pm. At that point, we will announce the nominations for officers and open up an online poll for voting for the officers. Voting will take place until June 3 at 5:30 pm. At that point, votes will be calculated and we will announce our new officers. They will be announced at our June 4 social event.
In order to be nominated for a position, you must be a member of RACA. If your membership has lapsed, you may renew at: http://www.vcacounselors.org/
Also, in order to vote in the elections, you must be a member of RACA. We already have exciting ideas for this upcoming year and can't wait to hear more from potentially new officers and members. This organization is here to serve you and your professional needs but we need your involvement to meet that goal. Please consider joining and becoming an active member.
So, send an email with a nomination of a RACA member for an office! Don't forget that you can nominate yourself for an office as well!
See below for a list of the officer positions and descriptions up for nomination:
Liz Beatley, School Counselor at Pole Green Elementary in Hanover County, joined 43 other semi-finalists at the School Counselor of the Year ceremony held at the White House and hosted by First Lady Michelle Obama. Join with us in congratulating Liz on her on this achievement.
We are pleased to bring your our inaugural issue of the RACA Report! This is a new quarterly publication from RACA to keep you up-to-date on what's going on with your Richmond Area Counselors. Look for new issues in March, June, September, and December.
We hope that you join some of your fellow RACA members at the VCA Convention in Williamsburg on November 20 - 22, 2014! RACA will be participating in the Progressive Reception on Thursday at 7:30 pm of the convention. Please stop by, have a few refreshments, and network with your colleagues both in the Richmond area and across the state. We look forward to seeing you there!
