Stove Maintenance & Service

Stoves need regular maintenance. As an extra I can also service your stove at the same time as sweeping the flue. I have a 25 point check list to make sure all is safe and working properly.

Any small repairs needed I can probably do straight away, or once any replacement parts have arrived. These include:-

Re-roping the stove door seal.
Sealing any air gaps in flue joints and register plates using 1000°C flexible sealant (not rigid fire cement that invariably falls out after a short time).
Refitting and re-sealing glass.
Replacing fire bricks.
Replacing grates.
Replacing throat/baffle plates.

Any larger repairs I can advise and report on.
