Richard Dingman's Want Lists,

Trade Lists (links at page bottom),

and Variation Master Lists (links at page bottom)

Edited by Steegle

Updated 10/14/18.

I am mainly interested in assembling baseball sets; 1951 - 1972 Topps (started in 2005 building upon my childhood card collection from the 1950s) with strong emphasis on variations, 1948 - 1955 Bowmans (started 2008), and 1933 Goudeys (started 2011).  But I have also added non-sport vintage, mis-cuts, second sets, and am constantly adding new variations, 1972 and earlier.

Checkout the extensive variations lists links at bottom, new in 2010 and frequently updated.  Be aware I have not yet made distinctions between errors, print differences, ink variations, true variations, etc;  I just try to list (and find) everything weird I know of.  I am reaching a point, now in early 2015, where I am stopping adding the less interesting minor print errors and may begin, in the near future, to cull out some of these from these lists.  LMK if you have something I should add.  These variations lists get revised often.

To find more of my wants, check the red listings in the variations page links for many common variations/errors I still need.

All lists are wantlists unless stated otherwise.

Look for my personal history list of great traders with the link at the bottom of the page.

I added several 1970s and later complete or near complete sets available for trade, see link at page bottom.

Also I've gotten interested in some 1930s non-sports sets, and I need many, so check out lists at very bottom.

Conditions:  I will accept needed cards in any condition, especially for keys, though I prefer whole, minimally damaged cards.  G/VG is my favorite condition for any '50s or earlier cards.  Creases, rounded corners, and ordinary surface wear will NEVER detract from my enjoyment of a vintage card.

Trading is the most fun, but I am willing to deal in $ when appropriate or necessary.

Common abbreviations I use:  pl = paper loss, mc = mis-cut, oc = off-center, wof = writing on front, var = variation.

Look for tradable sets and individual card tradables with link at bottom of page.  I have started grading my oldest tradables as best I can.  The grades will be only my quick opinion, so consider them a rough guide.  I just hope to speed up the trading process.  Grading is subjective; if unhappy, I am willing to discuss, adjust or undo.  Contact me at brightair@msn.com.

Check back as these pages change every week, sometimes every day!

The Any Baseball Card Mis-Cut Set:  (Highest Priority - any whole condition, any sport, any number) - Started Nov, '10.

Collecting mis-cut (mc) cards, trying to get at least nine for each #.  Don't want just "off-center", but with part of another card showing on the front (the back is not important), and the more of that "other" card showing, the better!  Any year, any condition, but I am limiting it to baseball only.  How big a set is possible, and how much variety?  Can I find a card for every #, and can I find 9 mc for each #? The smallest # I currently have is #1, and the largest #856.  I have 21 cards mc so there is no # on the back, and 3 that show 2 different complete #s.  I have 2 mc blank backs and several of the same card that are mc on 2 or even 3 different sides.  I have one example of a card mc in all 4 directions, and have 9 cards mc in 3 directions.  I am accumulating enough to begin to wonder if it is possible to complete a full set in which every card is mc, and so I have started the 1975 MC Set!  See below.  Still want any and all #s, the weirder the better!  If anyone else is collecting these I am willing to trade to help complete various type cards or teams or set collections of mc cards.

(Special mention and super thanks to Lenny Svelnys Jr (of Connecticut Card Shows) for two full boxes of miscuts he has collected for me!!)
