Raju Huidrom
I am a Senior Economist at the Asia-Pacific Department of the International Monetary Fund (IMF), where I am country desk for Indonesia and Timor-Leste. Previously, I was at the IMF's European Department, where I worked as country desk for Denmark and Finland. I also worked in the regional unit of the European Department, contributing to Europe's Regional Economic Outlook publications. Prior to the IMF, I was an Economist at the World Bank, contributing to the Bank's flagship Global Economic Prospects reports. I also worked at policy think tanks like the Conference Board and the Indian Council for Research on International Economic Relations.
I hold a PhD in economics from the University of Virginia. I received an MA degree in economics from the Delhi School of Economics and a BA degree in economics from Hindu College, University of Delhi. I did my early schooling at St. Joseph’s School, Imphal and at Delhi Public School, Mathura Road.
My main research interests are in areas of macroeconomics, international economics, and time series econometrics. My recent research focuses on macro-financial linkages, fiscal-monetary coordination, wages and labor markets, trade tensions and supply chains, and global business cycles.
