Counselor Biographies:

Linda Packman


Linda Packman was born and raised in Maryland. She attended Duke University where she earned a Bachelor of Arts in English and Education. Mrs. Packman earned a Master of Education in Special Education/Reading at The American University as well as a Master of Science in Counseling from Johns Hopkins University. Mrs. Packman’s career has included jobs in teaching, human resources, personal coaching, and school counseling. Mrs. Packman is a lifelong Redskins fan and a devoted fan of Bruce Springsteen. Mrs. Packman has known her husband since the age of twelve. The Packmans have a wonderful son named Joshua and an affectionate dog named Clarence.

Stephanie Thurmon


Stephanie Thurmon returns for her fourth year at Reservoir High School.  She was raised in Rochester NY, but has a strong connection and pride for her Jamaica roots. Mrs. Thurmon earned her Bachelor’s degree from the University of Buffalo, and then attended the University of Maryland where she earned her Master’s in School Counseling. Mrs. Thurmon spent her first 8 years as a HCPSS counselor at Talbott Springs Elementary School. Mrs. Thurmon enjoys long days on the beach in Jamaica, traveling with her new husband, and spending time with her family and friends. Most of all she enjoys knocking things off her bucket list, she is currently trying to top her last adventure of sky diving.

Her strengths are:  Empathy, Includer, Restorative, Developer, and Discipline

Brian Drnec


Brian Drnec is excited to start his fourth year of counseling at Reservoir.  He received his undergraduate degree in Marketing from Salisbury University as a proud Seagull. Prior to earning his Masters Degree, he booked speakers and entertainers (Daniel Tosh & Nick Swardson to name a few), sold negotiations training with Ron Shapiro, and worked as a substitute teacher in Howard County. Born in Chicago, he is a White Sox and Bears fan, but would love to see the Orioles win a World Series before the Sox do again. He loves all things sports, live music, and the Food Network. He attended Mt. Hebron High school playing Varsity baseball, basketball, and soccer where his team won back to back State Soccer Championships.

His strengths are: Woo, Competition, Adaptability, Positivity, and Context

Lindsay Beil




Lindsay Beil begins her 5th year at Reservoir. Prior to coming to Reservoir, Mrs. Beil worked at Glenelg High School for 4 years as the Testing Assistant and McDaniel College for 2 years in the Office of Alumni Relations & Annual Giving. Mrs. Beil earned her Bachelor’s degree in Communication in 2006 and Master’s of Science degree in Sports Administration in 2008 from McDaniel College. She then received her Master’s of Education degree in School Counseling from Loyola University Maryland in 2011. Mrs. Beil is also entering her third year as the Head Varsity Field Hockey coach at Reservoir and her second year as the Junior Varsity Girls' Lacrosse Team.

 Other Interesting Facts about Mrs. Beil:

·       Graduated from Glenelg High School in 2002

·       Played Field Hockey and Lacrosse in high school and college

·       Has coached Field Hockey and Lacrosse for 12 years
·       Is married and has 1 child – their dog Mulligan
·       Enjoys working out and reading
·       Favorite place to be: The Beach

Jill Altshuler




Jill Altshuler begins her 6th year at Reservoir High, 16th year as a school counselor, and her third year as the Instructional Team Leader. Prior to coming to Reservoir, Ms. Altshuler worked at Catonsville High School in Baltimore County (where she is also an alumni) and Chesapeake High School in Anne Arundel County. Ms. Altshuler earned her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Lehigh University in 1996 and her Master’s degree in School Counseling from Loyola University in 2000.  While at Lehigh, Ms. Altshuler played on the Women’s Lacrosse team.  Ms. Altshuler is the proud mother of twin 6-year olds, Molly and Peyton. When not working, Ms. Altshuler is an avid swimmer and part of the Master’s swimming team at UMBC, enjoys spending time with her daughters, her friends and family, and spending time outdoors, especially extreme mountain biking.

Frank White


Frank White is happy to return for his 3rd year at Reservoir High and Howard County. During his time here, he's played an active role as the sponsor for the Alpha Achievers chapter here at Reservoir.  Prior to Reservoir, Mr. White spent 1 year in Baltimore City and 6 years in Prince George's County. In 2003, Mr. White earned his Bachelors degree in Elementary Education with a concentration in Mathematics and a Masters degree in 2007 from the University of Maryland, College Park. Born and raised in Pittsburgh, Pa, Mr. White is a huge Steelers fan. In his free time, Mr. White enjoys working out, vacationing, and spending time with family and friends.

His strengths are: Achiever, Strategic, Relator, Includer, Responsibility
