DA holds 1st quarter assessment

To report the accomplishment of the programs and projects implemented by the Department of Agriculture Regional Field Office III (DA-RFO III) in the region, conducted its 1st quarter assessment for physical and financial accomplishment yesterday.

The said activity was attended by the heads of divisions, sections and offices and concerned employees to every achievement accomplished by the DA-RFO III.

“Compared to other regions, number one ang Central Luzon sa first quarter ng financial obligation”, said DA-RFO III Director Roy M. Abaya during his opening message. “I would go to quality rather than quantity”, he added.

The regional banner programs of the DA-RFO III such as Rice Program, Corn Program, High Value Crops Development Program, Livestock Program and Organic Agriculture Program reported by the chief of Planning, Monitoring and Evaluating Division (PMED) Edwin Paningbatan.

During the reporting, Regional Director for Research and Extensions Crispulo Bautista suggested orders and guidelines for proper encoding of data prior for banner programs.
Meanwhile, Budget Officer Elizabeth Grace Canlas reported the status of funds obligations; Accountant Norina David reported the status of cash availability; and Amelda Santos, Chief for Administration and Finance reported the status of procurement.

The National Color-Coded Agriculture and Fisheries Map which identified as one of the basic foundations of a sound agriculture and fisheries program under Duterte Administration was also introduced in the activity. The map aims to determine which crop or agricultural activity would be best in a specific area based on geographic, climatic and soil type conditions.

Other DA-RFO III programs and projects included in Marketing and Assistance Division (MAD), Research Division, Regulatory Division, Integrated Laboratory Division, Farm-to-Market Roads (FMR), PRDP-RPCO 3, and Project MANA were also reported.###
