To
relieve poverty among the residents of South Bristol
To
advance education among the residents of South Bristol, particularly among
young people and the unemployed
To
promote and/or provide training in skills of all kinds, particularly such
skills as will assist residents of South Bristol in obtaining paid employment
To
promote establish and operate other schemes of a charitable nature for the
benefit of the community within South Bristol
To fulfil these objectives we:
Offer real work experience to young people who struggle in mainstream school in building, landscape maintenance and
gardening, retail and carpentry. We do this through our building and gardening
teams,re:build and re:grow, and our furniture reuse shop, re:store.
Offer volunteering for over 16s that helps develop
individuals’ strengths and make a real difference to participants’ employment and
training options.
Actively support the development and creation
of new business and social enterprises through “Do What You Love” a European
Regional Development Fund project, working in partnership with the Knowle West
Media Centre.
Offer low cost building, gardening services and
an economic and environmental way of maintaining homes with a supply of furniture,
paint and small electrical items from our shop re:store.
