Harold Snepsts scored twice in the third period to give the Canucks a 2-1 victory over the Islanders at the Pacific Coliseum. Wayne Thomas made 28 saves for the Canucks (3-4-0). Mike Bossy had the lone goal for the Islanders (3-2-0).

GAME STORY
On their home ice the Canucks won a close one against the Islanders by
a final tally of 2 to 1. HAROLD SNEPSTS netted the last goal, the game
winner, at 15:55 of the 3rd period. SNEPSTS found the net twice for Vancouver.
WAYNE THOMAS was outstanding in goal. He gave up just a lone goal while
facing 29 shots. A goal was also registered by MIKE BOSSY for New York.
