Darryl Sittler registered three goals and three assists in the Maple Leafs' 10-6 win over the Sabres. Bob MacMillan added two goals for Toronto (13-11-3). Gilbert Perreault had a goal and three assists for Buffalo (12-7-1).

On their home ice the Maple Leafs easily handled the Sabres by a final
score of 10 to 6. The game was all offense with the lamp being lit a
total of 16 times. The Maple Leafs took advantage of their opportunities
with 3 power play goals. Toronto got going early, scoring 4 times in
the first period. GILBERT PERREAULT scored one goal and contributed
three assists for Buffalo. And DARRYL SITTLER was a force, he went for
the hat-trick on 6 shots and contributed three assists for Toronto! Also
LANNY McDONALD had three assists. BOB MacMILLAN scored twice on 7 shots.
IAN TURNBULL had a goal and added three assists. ACE BAILEY scored twice.
