Don Maloney registered two goals and two assists to lead the Rangers to a 6-2 victory over the Maple Leafs at Maple Leaf Gardens. Mark Pavelich added a goal and an assist for New York (31-35-11). Kevin LaVallee and Dan Daoust scored goals for Toronto (27-43-7). With the win, the Rangers capture the final playoff spot in the Patrick Division. Only three more playoff berths are up for grabs, one in the Norris and two in the Adams.

two assists for New York. And DON MALONEY scored twice and passed for
