Pens edge North Stars to take Wales lead

We travel to the Pittsburgh Civic Arena for this week's RHL Game of the Week. Jean Pronovost scored twice and Ron Shock scored with 9:48 remaining to give the Penguins a 3-2 win over the North Stars. The Pens currently hold the top spot in the Wales Conference with a 7-4-4 record. Claude St. Sauveur scored twice for the North Stars, who are fourth in the Campbell Conference at this time with a 5-10-1 record.

GAME STORY

In front of a cheering crowd the Penguins won a close one against the

North Stars by the final score of 3 to 2. This was a dirty game, as the

combatants combined for 48 penalty minutes. RON SCHOCK netted the last

goal, the game winner, at 10:12 of the 3rd period. CLAUDE St. SAUVEUR

had two goals for Minnesota. And JEAN PRONOVOST had two goals on 6 shots

for Pittsburgh. DENIS HERRON was sharp in goal. He allowed 2 goals while

facing 31 shots.

• • Derek Sanderson scored twice, but Rogie Vachon stopped the other 28 shots as the Kings tied the Islanders 2-2.
