Paiement nets five in Islander blowout

Wilf Paiement sets an RHL record with five goals in one game as the Islanders crush the Sabres 9-3 at the Nassau Coliseum. Paiement now leads the RHL with 28 goals. Denis Potvin and Billy Harris also scored two goals each for New York (26-13-3). Gilbert Perreault, Jim Schoenfeld, and Craig Ramsey scored for Buffalo (19-14-3).

WILF PAIEMENT was spectacular, scoring 5 goals, once while shorthanded,
on 10 shots for New York. And DENIS POTVIN found the net twice. Also
BILLY HARRIS had two goals and added one assist. Other goal scorers were
GILBERT PERREAULT, CRAIG RAMSAY and JIM SCHOENFELD for Buffalo.
