Bob Dailey scored twice for Philadelphia (32-35-11). With the win, the North Stars have clinched a Yelnats Cup playoff spot for the first time in franchise history.

In front of a cheering crowd the North Stars won by one goal over the
Flyers by a final tally of 5 to 4. Minnesota scored 4 goals in the second
period. BOB DAILEY scored twice on 6 shots for Philadelphia. And GUY
CHOUINARD scored one goal and contributed two assists for Minnesota.
Also GARY SARGENT found the net twice. Other goal scorers were BILL BARBER
and BRIAN PROPP for Philadelphia and MIKE GARTNER and AL MacADAM for Minnesota.

The Islanders clinch the Patrick Division title with a 6-2 win over the Rangers.
