Michel Goulet scored five goals to lead the Nordiques to a 9-2 blowout over the Jets at Le Colisee. Paul Reinhart added two goals and two assists for Quebec (12-12-6). Doug Smail and Murray Craven scored for Winnipeg (5-18-6). Goulet currently leads the RHL in goal scoring with 29, one ahead of Edmonton's Wayne Gretzky.

In a blowout the Nordiques clobbered the Jets by a final score of 9 to
2. Quebec sustained a constant attack outshooting the Jets 41 to 20.
Quebec scored 3 goals in the second period. MICHEL GOULET was spectacular,
scoring 5 goals, once while shorthanded, on 8 shots for Quebec. And MARIAN
STASTNY recorded four assists. Also PAUL REINHART scored twice and contributed
two assists. Other goal scorers were DOUG SMAIL and MURRAY CRAVEN for
Winnipeg and PETER STASTNY and MILAN NOVY for Quebec.
