GAME STORY
On their home ice the Islanders had an easy win over the Canucks by a
final score of 5 to 2. The Islanders registered 3 power play goals.
New York got going early, scoring 3 times in the first period. MIKE
BOSSY was spectacular, scoring 4 goals on 11 shots and passing for one
assist for New York. And ANDERS KALLUR scored once and added two assists.
PHIL MYRE was sharp in goal. He allowed 2 goals while facing 37 shots.
Other goal scorers were TONY CURRIE and STAN SMYL for Vancouver.
