The Rev. Elias VanBunschooten Chapter, National Society Children of the American Revolution is located in Wantage, NJ.
It is a local society of a national, patriotic, youth organization composed of boys and girls under the age of 22 who are lineally descended from a patriot in the American Revolution. The mission of the C.A.R. is to acquire knowledge of American history, promote the celebration of patriotic anniversaries, preserve and restore places of historical importance, honor the memories of those who rendered service to the American Revolution, and honor and cherish the American flag.

Our society is named in honor of Rev. Elias VanBunschooten, a Dutch Reformed minister.  After preaching at several churches in the Minisink area, the Reverend settled in Wantage as the first minister of the Old Clove Church.   His house was build c. 1797 and is owned and operated by the Chinkchewunska Chapter, National Society Daughters of the American Revolution, which is our sponsoring DAR chapter.
