ReUse Industries is a community non-profit and tax-exempt organization that saves reusables from the landfill to support a sustainable economy, protect our environment, and create jobs. ReUse Industries receives donations from organizations and individuals in bulk quantities as well as small quantities. Items donated to ReUse Industries are cleaned, stored, repaired, and sold in small and large quantities to businesses, agencies, and the public for reuse.
Our ReUse Competition is about supporting and celebrating the creativity of southeastern Ohio residents in turning waste and discarded materials into new products. Whether you like turning trash into treasure, turning the old into the new, reducing waste, or just like being creative, this competition is for you!
The competition is for both youth and adults, as individuals or teams, from throughout Appalachian Ohio’s 32 counties.
A total of $3,000 in cash prizes will be awarded. The top three entries in each of four categories will earn cash prizes, and a broader selection of entries will be shown at an exhibition to be held along with the awards ceremony on Earth Day, April 22, 2014.
