JAGUAR CD

The Atari Jaguar compact digital media player, seen above from the most pleasing view.  Ridiculed for having the aesthetics of a toilet lid.  Originally due for release in the summer of 1994 it wasn’t until September 1995 it arrived.  Priced at $149 the boxed unit contained the CD player and included 4 CD’s.  These included the free games Blue Lightning, Vid Grid and a demo of Myst.  You were also privileged to the soundtrack of Tempest 2000.  The dollar value of these freebies was flaunted as over $100.  In addition to the CD’s you also had the built in Virtual Light Machine (VLM).  This displayed colourful mesmerising images on screen in beat to your music CD’s.
