How do we put our plan into action? The presidential campaign of Barack Obama during the 2008 elections used Web 2.0 tools intensively to reach the general public and seek support and collect feedback from voters. I would like to call upon tech savvy individuals and organizations all across the globe to deploy the most appropriate social networking tools (Facebook, LinkedIn, YouTube, Twitter, etc.), online mapping tools (Google maps, WikiMapia, etc.) and (GPS-enabled) mobile devices to broaden and deepen the political participation by enabling citizens to connect with one another.
The state of Kerala is no longer a place to be governed by people living in Kerala only. The collective wisdom of Keralites spread across the globe needs to be tapped and with today's technology it can be done. We shall use new and changing technologies (blogs, wikis, texting, social networking sites, etc.) to create new opportunities for collective leadership. We are standing at the threshold of a new era of human creativity and achievement by combining our collective resourcefulness and initiative to drive social change. The emphasis of this initiative is the involvement of all stakeholders in democratic participatory decision-making. This is a very rare opportunity that we should seize to free Kerala from the tyranny and oppression of corrupt and inept politicians, who have been shamelessly displaying unbridled greed, corruption and self-aggrandizement by robbing, plundering and consuming public resources and swindling and looting the common people of Kerala for a very long time.
