About me

Welcome to my page!

I am a neuroscientist at the University Children's Hospital (Zurich, Switzerland) and my main current work focuses on recovery of neuromotor function in children after stroke and traumatic brain injury. I am especially interested in finding possible markers to predict therapies. To approach this issue, I use the technique of Magnetic Resonance Imaging and functional/neurological scales (e.g. WeeFIM).

Additionally, I am interested in language, bilingualism and other neuroimaging techniques.
Particularly, I was looking for anatomical brain differences caused by diverse language exposure between monolinguals and bilinguals adults (
Universitat Pompeu Fabra, Barcelona, Spain). Previously, I also have worked on language development, hemispheric dominance and language lateralization in healthy participants, and language reorganization in patients with unilateral spastic cerebral palsy using Magnetoencephalography (University of Tübingen, Germany). Furthermore, I have performed studies in the fields of memory development in infants using eye-tracking (University Pompeu Fabra, Barcelona, Spain), neuropsychology testing for number processing in children, circadian rhythms in mice and bioacoustic in insects (ETH Zurich and University of Zurich, Switzerland).
