Let’s cut through some of the smoke.
Next week the new transportation committee is deciding either to go
ahead with a planned 6' Segregated Bike Lane (SBL) on Laurier or not.
Myself and other members of the Responsible Cycling Coalition are opposed to the plan as drafted.
We do not believe this $1.3M is well spent on this 1.3km design.
And now yeah for London! It is great that they got the bank
sponsored routes of the Cycle Superhighway out to pilot. Each is about
12.5k long and NOT SEGREGATED. TfL is not considering segregation for
the superhighway, due to expected usage levels, and that cyclists do NOT
want to be treated differently from other vehicles.
Look at TfL plan, and you will see how balanced it is, with click

This appears to be a great job of bringing bicycles forward as legitimate road users
Thanks for all those that have forwarded their support of the
coalition. Yes...cycling is for everyone. Properly and responsibly.
