WHAT IF I AM GETTING ENDORSEMENTS IN MORE THAN ONE GRADE LEVEL OR MORE THAN ONE CONTENT AREA?

No candidate will be required to take more than two tests

Candidates seeking endorsements in more than one grade level may select either the elementary or the secondary PLT test.  For example, a candidate seeking endorsements in K-8 Art and 5-12 Art may select the pedagogy test they wish to take – either PLT Grades K-6 or PLT Grades 7-12.  Candidates seeking more than one content endorsement will not be tested on additional endorsements.  Candidates should select the tests that most closely align with their major endorsement.  For instance, a math major becoming licensed in secondary mathematics and adding a physics endorsement will only take the content knowledge assessment for mathematics. This candidate would not be required to take an additional test in physics.  An elementary education major who is also seeking an endorsement in K-8 reading should take the elementary education content test; and does not need to take the reading content test.  Candidates will NOT be required to take a special education test if adding a special education endorsement to a general education endorsement.
