Hiroki Sato was born in Japan and obtained his BS in chemistry from the University of Tokyo under the supervision of Prof. Eiichi Nakamura. He studied developing new methodologies with organoiron catalysts. Then he joined the University of Texas at Austin to pursue his Ph.D. in Prof. Krische's group in 2014.
