It was a pleasure to work with you through Canadian Renovations & Restorations.  You were quick to respond to our needs and questions and totally professional.  The craftsmanship and attention to detail was excellent.  We're very pleased with our new bathroom, laundry room and "classroom" as named by our 4-year old granddaughter!  Come by sometime and take some pictures.  It would be nice to see you again.

I recently purchased an older townhouse in Mississauga. After seeing the interior of other, newer renovated houses in the complex I decided to turn my kitchen/living room/dining room area into a modern open concept space. I was informed by another home owner that the walls were weight bearing and would require someone with expertise to properly remove them and put in place a supporting post and beam. They gave me Rob's information and highly recommended him as he performed the same type of task on their home. A few days after talking to Rob I invited him over to have a look. He inspected the walls and walked me through the necessary steps for this type of renovation and gave me a very accurate quote on materials and labour, as well as outlined the types of set backs this type of job sometimes encounters. A few days later the demolition finished and the construction began. I had the pleasure of working with, and learning from Rob. He is very professional, pays exceptional attention to detail and took the time to explain the processes of what we were doing. The finished product Rob delivered was amazing and accurate as to the original quotation. I highly recommend him to anyone who is thinking of undertaking a home renovation project. Again, Thanks a lot Rob!

When I moved into my new condo, the closet in my bedroom was not adequate for my needs and I decided to have a custom closet installed.  Rob Thorne of Canadian Renovations & Restoration was recommended by a friend.

Rob was very helpful in helping design my closet and pointed out potential problems in my design. He also showed me a lot of different options at different price points, which was very helpful. During the installation of my closet unit, I found him to be very conscientious of his work and he definitely pays attention to details!  He identified a problem with the door of the closet being unable to open due to the base boards and he figured out how to fix it right away.

I am very pleased with my new closet and would definitely recommend Rob to anyone looking for some help in renovating their home.

Rob Thorne, of Canadian Renovations & Restorations has done lot of renovations / work for me; both at my cottage up north and my home in Mississauga.

Rob is a bit of a perfectionist, which works for me as I am in Quality Assurance as a profession and therefore expect a quality job.  Quality is certainly something that Rob delivers.  Rob’s attention to detail, coupled with asking all the right questions and pointing out potential problems is explained well before any work starts.  Planning and attention to detail is a hallmark of Rob and he is always willing to accommodate changes as the project progresses.

Rob as a person, is very friendly and is a pleasure in which to do business.  If I have any work to be done around my house or cottage, I’ll definitely be calling on Canadian Renovations & Restorations Inc.

Please have this note serve as a formal recommendation for the work completed by Rob Thorne of Canadian Renovations & Restorations Inc.

I recently moved into a 6 year old condo in Mississauga that required a little “freshening Up”. Rob Thorne was recommended to me by the owner of the company that I work for. The list of items that I wanted done included, painting of the entire unit including base boards, install a new shower head, install a new kitchen sink, as well as the installation of 3 bracket less shelves. I also required that Rob pull out the existing appliances and install the new overhead Microwave and dishwasher.

I was very happy with the work completed by Rob Thorne. He was detailed and methodical in his workmanship. Rob is not the kind of guy “who just does what he is contracted for”, rather he looks for issues or problems outside of the scope of his work. Rob identified a wiring problem with my thermostat and quickly corrected the problem, as well he noticed some very minor water damage on the ceiling and patched and painted this problem.

Reliable and punctual…is another description that I can associate with Rob’s work. He is there when he says he will be there.

I enthusiastically recommend Rob Thorne and Canadian Renovations & Restorations Inc. for any type of work relating to either residential or commercial renovations.

I am currently putting together a list of other projects in my unit and will be calling Rob in to complete them very soon.

Rob Thorne, of Canadian Renovations & Restorations Inc, did a beautiful job of finishing a room and a basement bathroom for me. It is now where I spend most of my time. His work ethic and knowledge is wonderful, he is very easy to work with and takes pride in his work. If there is another time when renovations are needed he will be the first person I call.

Rob Thorne of Canadian Renovations and Restorations Inc. attended our residence in 2005 to provide his renovation expertise.  He remodelled our kitchen including the removal of a supporting wall and the installation of a support beam, cupboards, sink and the necessary plumbing.  Later in the year he installed vanities and toilets in 2 of our bathrooms.  In 2007 he built and installed a baluster railing for our main staircase.

We are very satisfied with the work that was performed.  We would use Rob again and, in fact, have just recently hired him to completely renovate our master bathroom.  The renovation will include the installation of a custom fully tiled shower stall.

We have enjoyed working with Rob and highly recommend him.

Rob Thorne of Canadian Renovations & Restorations Inc. did a very satisfying job for us last year on the restoration of our Deck.  I highly recommend him for any kind of job around the house where his estimates and cost are very reasonable.
