1 Introduction
Phil Goodman and Deven Khosla established the 3rd chapter of the "Single Malt Scotch Tasters of Reno” in 2009. We think of it as "Phil's Chapter."
2 Mission
We gather and enjoy fine single malt scotch whiskies in good company.
3 Meetings
We meet monthly. The Host of the month polls the group for compatible dates.
4 Venues and Hosting
We meet in various locations. A Host organizes the venue, food, and sends out various reminders.
5 Tasting Notes
We record single malt tasting notes. These are summarized and published.
6 Mystery Dram
We often sample a "Mystery Dram" and attempt to identify it.
7 Membership
We maintain a core group of a little more than a dozen members and fill openings as needed. We get new members by agreeing to include them. One graduates from the chapter by demonstrating disinterest.
8 Officers, Committees, Dues and Voting.
We all pitch in. There are no officers, no elections, no voting and no dues. Everyone acts together to accomplish the Mission.
