The complete suite of Bus routes and timetables is available here. I imagine that most of us in 'old' Renhold will use the No 27, whilst those in 'new' Renhold will probably use the No 5.

We enjoy great public transport connections and it's possible to travel to Hitchin, Cambridge, Oxford, Kettering, etc, or just into town! We have the Community Transport Service and even the volunteer-operated Wanderbus. Concession Travel Passes accepted on all! No it's not glitter and champagne but what can be better on a nice sunny day than a sedate ride out into the countryside to enjoy the views and perhaps even a pub lunch whilst waiting for the return journey!

Don't forget that for a specific errand (depending on notice and availability) somebody may be able to give you a lift. You can post a message here.

Also, you could try the Good Neighbours scheme.

The Bedford Trains website is here. The full timetables for all Thameslink and East Midland journeys from and to the south of Bedford is immense and frequently changes so I suggest you use the journey and ticket finder available on this website! If you really do insist on perusing all the timetables and route maps, go here instead!

There are more Taxi firms around Bedford than you can count! I can only suggest you start here, but if in doubt, try to get a recommendation.

Another quite informative site is which covers (walking, cycling and) travel by bus, train or car.
