Medical / Dentists

Some 20 days after the start, (cynical? me?) the BCCG have sent more info about the WiC proposals. See here and action today! Please!
Do you care about having a Walk-in Medical Centre north of the River? Survey here! Write about accessibility & cost of parking at South Wing site!
  • Emergency Ambulance - Dial 999.
  • You should use the NHS 111 service if you urgently need medical help or advice or you think you need to go to A&E or you need another NHS urgent care service but it's not a life-threatening situation. Dial 111. More details here.
  • The BEDOC service is described here. With BEDOC, you may be able to see a GP type Doctor or a Nurse out of hours. It's not for emergencies. You are expected to get yourself to the Centre (at South Wing); only in the most exceptional circumstances would the practitioner come to you.
  • Putnoe Medical & Walk-in Centre, 93 Queens Drive, Bedford, MK41 9JE. Details and contact info here.
  • Bedford General Hospital (South Wing). Tel 01234 355122
  • A list of Doctors in Bedford, Kempston and the surrounding areas may be found here.
  • See also the Directory entry 'Defibrillators'.
Yell lists 74 Dental practices in Bedford and I'll bet there are twice that number if you take into account all the private ones.
I'm not sure how to handle this one . . .  Answers on a postcard please to
