MARY HAD A LITTLE LAMB- LINES SONG
Parallel lines never cross, never cross, never cross; parallel lines never cross, no they never do.
Line that are perpendicular,
perpendicular,
perpendicular; lines that are
perpendicular make a right angle.
Cross those intersecting lines, cross those lines, cross those lines, cross those lines; cross those intersecting lines, they must always cross.

Rounding cadence to "sound off" Rounding’s not that hard to do.   Let me tell the rules to you.  For the digits five through nine,  Round that number up the line. For the digits four and less,  Round that number down, oh yes! Chorus (chant twice)  Round up!  (Five through nine!)  Round down!  (Four and less!)

Rounding Song (if you're happy and you know it)  If you’re rounding to the tens place, check the ones. If you’re rounding to the tens place, check the ones. If the ones are zero through four, round it down to the tens before. If you’re rounding to the tens place, check the ones.

If you’re rounding to the tens place, check the ones. If you’re rounding to the tens place, check the ones. If the ones are five through nine, round it up, and you’ll be fine. If you’re rounding to the tens place, check the ones.

Second verse... If you’re rounding to the hundreds place, check the tens

Third verse... If you’re rounding to the thousands place, check the hundreds

Rounding Rhyme-This tells you what to do, we use this to estimate!
Find your numbe(underline place value to round)
Go next door       (circle lower place value- to right)
5 or greater, add one more
(underlined place gets one more)
4 or under, just ignore.
(underlined place stays the same)

Everything to the right is a 0. If you are rounding to 10, it has at least one 0 because ten has no ones, 100's have at least 00 because hundreds have no tens or ones.

Rounding Rodeo Rhyme (from our game):
5 or more, round 'er up, 4 or up, let it drop
