Lawrason Riggs Professor of Catholic Studies at Yale University. Please come to the Grand Opening on May 21-22, 2015! We will celebrate the return of this outstanding collection of scholarly work on medieval law with an International Conference at Yale University Law School. Mark your calendars, book your airfares and train tickets, and propose a paper by November 15, 2014 to The theme of the conference is embodied in its title (Cod. 3.1.14, the subject of one of Odofredo’s naughty anecdotes about Bulgarus), which perhaps might be translated as “New and Old in Medieval Law.”
