United States Football League's Hall of Fame

Welcome to the Unofficial USFL Hall of Fame. Below is the first and second slate of USFL Inductees. Every year, we will add a class of inductees. The first inductees: Anthony Carter, Jim Kelly, Jim Mora, Herschel Walker, and Reggie White. The second class of inductees: Kelvin Bryant, Trumaine Johnson, Bobby Hebert, Sam Mills, Gary Zimmerman The Third Class of Inductees: Mel Gray, Bart Oates, Jim Smith, Ricky Sanders, and John Corker.

The First Class of Inductees

Anthony Carter

Michigan Panthers/Oakland Invaders 1983-85
College - Michigan
USFL - USFL Champion with Michigan Panthers in 1983. Led the Invaders back to the title game in 1985. Anthony Carter caught 60 passes for 1,181 yards and 9 TDs in 1983. Caught 9 balls for 179 yards, I TD in the 1983 title game. 1984 season, Anthony had 30 catches for 538 yards before a broken arm in week six ended his season. In 1985 season, made 70 catches for 1,323 yards and 14 TDs.
NFL - Played with the Minnesota Vikings and Detroit Lions.

Jim Kelly
Quarterback
Houston Gamblers, New Jersey Generals (1986,never played) 1984-85
College - Miami
USFL - 1984 passed for 370-587 for 5, 219 yards, 44 TDs, 26 INTs and also ran 85 times for 493 yards and 5 TDs. MVP and Rookie of the Year in 1984. Played the 1985 season hurt, missing few games, still throwing for 360-567 passing for 4,623 yards, 39 TDs, 19 INTs. All-USFL QB and Leading Passer in 1985. NFL - Played with the Buffalo Bills, led the Bills to four straight Super Bowls. Also in the Pro Football Hall of Fame in Canton, OH.

Jim Mora

Philadelphia/Baltimore Stars Record - 41-12-1, 7-1 Overall Record 48-19-1
USFL - 2X USFL Champion. Appeared in all 3 title games.
NFL - Coached the New Orleans Saints and Indianapolis Colts.

Reggie White
Defensive End
Memphis Showboats 1984-85
College - Tennessee
USFL - In 1984, recorded 12 sacks for 84 yards lost. In 1985, had 11.5 sacks for 93.5 yards lost. NFL - Played with the Philadelphia Eagles, Green Bay Packers, and Carolina Panthers. Won the Super Bowl with the Packers in SBXXXI. Also in the Pro Football Hall of Fame in Canton, OH.

Herschel Walker

New Jersey Generals 1983-85
College - Georgia, Heisman Trophy Winner in '82
USFL - In 1983, ran for league-high 1,812 yards on 412 carries with 17 TDs. All-USFL RB in '83 for the league and Sporting News. In 1984, rushed for 1,339 yards on 293 attempts and 16 touchdowns. The MVP in '85 by the league and Sporting News. Has an pro football record 2,411 yards on 438 carries with 21 tds. NFL - Played with the Dallas Cowboys, Minnesota Vikings, Philadelphia Eagles, and New York Giants.

College - Northwestern State University
USFL - Bobby passed for 257-451 for 3,568 yards, 27 scores, 17 INTs. In 1983 title game completed 20-39 throws for 314 yards, 3 TDs and 1 interception and was voted game MVP...was named USFL's Outstanding Quarterback and the Sporting News Player of the Year. In 1984 passed for 272-500 for 3,758 yards, 24 TDs, 22 INTs. In 1985 passed for 244-456 for 3,811 yards, 30 TDs, 19 INTs and also lead the Invaders to '85 title game.
NFL - Played with the New Orleans Saints and Atlanta Falcons

Kelvin Bryant

College - North Carolina
USFL - In 1983, he ran for 1,442 yards and 16 TDs, caught 53 passes for 410 yards. In 1984, ran for 1,406 yards with 13 TDs, caught 48 balls for 453 yards in helping Stars capture first title. In the title game he ran for 115 yards and a TD. In 1985, rushed for 1,207 yards and 12 touchdowns. In the title game, he gained 103 yards and scored 3 TDs. He was also the last player to touch the ball in a USFL game.
