Day Of Prayer, Fasting And Abstinence

From Fr. Andre:

Thy Kingdom Come!

Dear Fathers and Brothers in Christ, and Regnum Christi members,

I encourage you to read this note from the Office for Clergy – it is very well written, and puts our current predicament in a clear light. Our leaders are showing great courage! And we have to be thankful for that.

I humbly suggest a few action items:

1.      mark our calendars for 30 March, and offer it as a day of prayer, fasting, penance, and a petition for the grace to change our government’s position on mandating abortion, sterilization, and birth-control payment by Catholic employers.

2.    Attentively read the attached statement, it offers a very clear explanation of the HHS mandate and where it is leading: Make no mistake about it – this government mandate is a step which will inevitably lead to other mandates that continue to strike at the heart of our Faith and the constitutional liberties we have been guaranteed.

3.    Click on the link in the Statement and send emails to President Obama and our PA senators asking them to support the “Respect for Rights of Conscience Act” and rescinding the HHS mandate.

4.    Encourage others to do the same!

God bless you all abundantly! Yours in Christ and the Movement, Fr Andre, LC

The Bishops of Pennsylvania have declared Friday, March 30, 2012, as a day of prayer, fasting and abstinence for the preservation of religious liberty. The Bishops' statement announcing this special effort is attached.
